From the stats provided, it’s clear that NVIDIA is still dominant on the GPU market – 56.35% of the Steam users in the survey are using a GPU from NVDIA. 25.5% of those in the survey are using an AMD GPU, while 17.77% is using an Integrated GPU from Intel. Between November 2015 and March 2016, NVIDIA managed to increase  its amount of users by roughly 0.35%, while AMD lost around 0.5%.

Intel remained dominant in the CPU market for Steam users. In March 2016, 76.53% of the participating Steam users preferred an Intel CPU over an AMD CPU –  a slight increase since November 2015. A small decrease in AMD CPU’s can be witnessed between November 2015 and March 2016 with AMD having a 23.74% share.

Also interesting to note is that most Steam users in the survey, seem to be using a DX12GPU in combination with a Windows version pre-Windows 10. Microsoft’s 64 bit version of Windows is the most used OS among those in the survey, followed closely by Windows 7 64 bit. Between November 2015 and March 2016, the amount of Windows 10 64 bit users grew by more than 8%, while the amount of Windows 7 64 bit users dropped by almost 3%.
